Nuestra Historia — About MI RAÍZ 505

“Before this was a brand, it was my aunt making cacao from scratch at home — almost every day, until it was gone.”
MI RAÍZ means "my roots." Mine are in Nicaragua, and the first root of this house is cacao. My aunt makes her refresco de cacao from scratch at home, sells it almost every day, and nearly sells out right away. Her customers do not come once — they keep coming back.
She is getting older, and some recipes disappear when nobody writes them down. MI RAÍZ 505 exists so hers does not. Her refresco is our first product and the star: whole cacao, roasted and ground the way she makes it, stirred into cold milk and served over ice — never with water. Beside it stands Cacao Puro 100% — the same bean in its purest form. Our highland coffee is part of the table too, as the companion and add-on we recommend with a cacao order. Cacao leads. Coffee completes it.
Made from scratch, at home
No factory story and no generic mix. This begins in her home, with real cacao and the method her regulars return for.
Her recipe, her royalty
My aunt receives a royalty on every bag of her recipe sold. Her local business in Nicaragua stays 100% hers.
Kept alive, sent home
We buy in Nicaragua, import directly, and build a brand meant to preserve her recipe while sending money back to our people.

The way it has always been served: cold, rich, and shared.
